【摘要】 本文运用西方女性主义理论分析男性剧作家笔下的母亲形象,讨论母亲在挪威剧作家易卜生、美国剧作家奥尼尔和英国剧作家品特代表剧作中被放逐到"阿拉斯加"的过程。研究发现,多数剧作中的女性/母亲没有独立的身份,缺乏话语权,甚至要为男性的错误行为承担责任。男性把母亲边缘化以维护父权秩序,边缘化的女性在寻求主体性的过程中处于两难境地。
【英文摘要】 Applying feminist theories to the analysis of motherhood in some representative plays by Henrik Ibsen,Eugene O Neill and Harold Pinter,this essay discusses how the mother is banished to such a marginalized place as "Alaska".Most women/mothers do not possess independent identities or the power to control discourse,and are sometimes blamed for male s mistake.It is argued that man attempts to safeguard the patriarchal order by marginalizing the mother whereas the marginalized woman/mother is often caught in a ...
